I’ve decided that this weekend I’m going to go downtown at some point and check out the new “Nightmare on Elm Street” movie. The previews are making it look amazing, and I’m a sucker for those kinds of movies – so I might as well waste my time and money on it…
I have to say, I really don’t like the towels I bought when I moved to the new dorm. I think they like to shed or something. I always get out of my shower all nice and squeaky clean, then I towel off - and I’m full of little green towel fibers that cling to my skin. After that, I spend the next hour trying to rid myself of green cotton fibers because they itch so friggin’ much that just want to rip the top layer of my skin off and call it good. Blah! Come on Marth Stewart, can’t we do a little bit better than this?!?! (I really don’t know what brand my towels are, but everyone picks on Martha, so I thought it was worth a jab here).
Not really sure about all of this. First it was toothpaste that likes to foam up a bit too much when I brush my teeth, now its green cotton towel fibers clinging to my skin. Shit, I’m gonna look like a rabid version of ‘Swamp Thing’ pretty soon…
Hmm, why don’t we revisit the toothpaste post from August 27, 2008, shall we?

Goodnight!

First of all, sorry about the lack of a post for close to a week, and then the lame excuse for a post last time. I was shooting for the 500th entry by the end of the month, but that’s not happening anymore I guess! Maybe next month if I’m motivated enough…
Things are extremely good around here. It rained today for most of the day, but it wasn’t one of those cold, wet, and windy type of days. It was pleasant for the most part as far as temperatures go.
For some good news, I received my AFPA Nutrition and Wellness Consultant certification! I also received my CPR certification about a week ago, so between the two of them together, I am legally allowed to begin consulting if I choose too. I’m looking into several options at the moment as far as setting up my own simple business website and customizing it to show off what I’m legally allowed to do for people. There are two ways I could theoretically begin consulting people – online and at a local fitness center/gym. The fitness center route would require more work as far as attracting clients and finding time to be there with them, mostly because of my current schedule is so unpredictable. The online option is what I am most looking into at the moment. This would require online and some phone consultations, frequent email contact with clients, and it will be easier to suspend my consultations when I deploy and whatnot. There’s lot of thinking left to do, but it’ll work out eventually. I already teaching a class soon, so I’ll build up from there.
Otherwise, everything else is great along with what I’ve mentioned above!
Thanks to my readers! I don’t thank you all enough for continuing to come back day-after-day, but it is much appreciated!

This week I wrapped up Week #7 of my second block of UOP classes! Two more weeks for this block and I’ll be completely done with it until the third block starts shortly afterward. I’m looking at my options this Summer as far as taking classes during my deployment. I hope it can be done, but nothing is for sure. The worst thing that can happen is simply having UOP place me on hold until I get back, so no big worries there.
Just a quick update for now, sorry about that. I’m off to get some food!

Hey all! It’s been a beautiful weekend! The temperatures have been up into the 60′s, close to 70 actually, and things are going really well!
Not too much to talk about, but I was overdue for a post. The work week wasn’t all that eventful, I spent most of my week running around for different training classes and meetings and things like that, but the short time I spent at work was decent. Our job’s “fun” factor depends on how nice it is and that sorta thing – so, the nicer it is, the better our job is.
School is still going well. I’m averaging an ‘A’ and a high ‘B’ right now in the two courses I’m taking, and I have 3 weeks left.
I’m about to watch the Nascar race in Texas if the rain ever stops, but the Red Sox are on! Hope everyone has a terrific rest-of-the weekend!

Wow, I have no idea where to even begin with this entry. I last had internet on Sunday, and so much has happened over the last week to even begin to remember it all!
I finished moving into my new dorm room earlier this week. We all out-processed the old dorm on Tuesday to make it official. It was so liberating to move in here! The dorm is amazing, and everything works! I’ll be posting pictures this weekend, so check back Sunday or so to see them!
I found out I was picked to fly on a B-52 sometime during the first part of May! Our squadron is entering some sort of bombing competition, and they’re allowing some extra people to ride up on the aircraft during it. I can’t wait! I have to complete a lot of training and medical stuff before they clear me to fly, but it won’t be an issue.
Work has been going well overall. The weather is only getting better, which means people are also getting better – with their moods…
A friend and I went to see “The Crazies” tonight. We were supposed to double date with a couple of girls we know, but those plans went all to hell faster than I could type this sentence about it. The movie was pretty good. Not much of a plot, just a plane crash that contaminated some drinking water. Nothing new, but still worth the money overall, and worth the 2 hours out of the house.
I have this weekend off and I plan on making the most of it!
From now on, I’m not going to title my posts, I’m running out of titles quite honestly. I’m just going to use what number post it is…
Anyway, I moved quite a bit of my stuff over to the new place this afternoon. I got it all over in one load with my truck, got it all squared away in my closet and I’ll deal with it tomorrow and Monday when I go back. I have some odds and ends left to bring over, but I can’t until Monday since I kinda need my internet and things like that for school purposes. My current room is looking pretty bare! It’s weird, I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to sleep tonight the way it is. When things in my room change, I don’t sleep well until I get used to it, so we’ll see what happens I suppose.
A friend and I went down to China Star today and had some lunch, swung by Walmart for some new room items, then to the mall to hit up Radio Shack. You can tell it’s the first of the month…all of the Welfare collecting scumbags were out shopping…ugh.
I’m slowly approaching my 500th blog entry! It’s hard to believe! I started this site back in December of 2007, and it’s definitely served its purpose…good and bad, for sure. I want to reach the 500 mark by the end of the month, but I’m not sure with the 4-5 days I won’t be able to post this week. It’s funny, I started the blog by posting between 30-40 per month, now I’m hard pressed to get 10 per month!
New Dorm and Muffler!
I’ve been actively looking around downtown lately for a new apartment, because I was authorized to finally move off base from my current dorm. The problem is…there’s nothing worth it downtown! The ones I’ve toured are all run-down and ridiculously filthy, so I talked to my First Sergeant today and he’s letting me move to the new dorm on base this weekend. It’s a 5-star hotel, I swear! I can’t wait to get over there this weekend!
I took my truck down to the garage today after work. I thought I had a hole in my muffler, but it turned out that I was missing a manifold bolt. I had him change out the muffler anyway since it looked like it had seen better days. He did some great work, and my truck is running fine once again!
This is just a quick update since I had a little bit of time. Tomorrow night I’ll be getting ready to move and throwing away crap I no longer need when I move over there.
Later gators!
