Something I got at work recently…
Random Thoughts of the Day:
I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto” routing option.
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can
think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell
my own story that’s not only better, but also more directly involves
me.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you
realize you’re wrong.
I don’t understand the purpose of the line, “I don’t need to drink to
have fun.” Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and
sticks when they’ve invented the lighter?
Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you’re
going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to
be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the
direction from which you came, you have to first do something like
check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to
yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you’re
crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.
I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was
younger.
The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This
recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never
be ending a work email with the phrase “Regards” again.
There is a great need for a sarcasm font.
It Just Never Ends!

Mix 107.9 and Maine :)
First of all, I completely forgot that most radio stations stream live online these days, and I remembered a station I used to listen too all the time back in Maine called Mix 107.9 – well, I found it online and I’m in music heaven! That was the bright point of my evening last night, and tonight I’ve got it cranked again. So, now that I’ve mentioned this, I feel much better…
This week at work has been absolutely weirdly completely strange. Not bad by any means, just strange. You would think we’re working on Mars or something, seriously. I don’t know, I love my job, but god it’s weird, haha. That’s about all I can say at this point in time.
After much thought, and tons of mind-changes, I’ve finally decided that December 30th until January 11th is when I’m going to TRY to get leave to get back home to my family and friends for a visit. It won’t be the same – Jeff is moving to Vegas in a few short weeks, and some others have since left, but it’ll be a good time. I can’t even tell you how excited I am at the thought of going dancing with the crew again at Champion’s and the Blues Club. Only a few months…
Not much else is really happening around here. Nothing important anyway. Thanks for checking in!
Obama Administration: This Can’t Be Good
We’ve all had PLENTY of opportunities by this point to see how Obama is going to run his administration. For me personally, all hope is gone for the majority of his promises stated during the campaign into office to be carried out and fulfilled. Taxes will surely go up one way or another, this is a fact.
The Democratic side of the health care debate is a total joke. The Senators and Representatives fielding question at the town hall meetings can’t even hold their own. They’ve gone into 95% of the debates and meetings unprepared for the backlash received. Arlen Spector, a Democrat out of Pennsylvania, is the biggest joke of them all. Have you been unlucky enough to catch any of his town hall style conferences? The guy can’t take the heat when it comes to the serious concerns presented by residents on the topic. How can someone like this be an effective leader? A few days ago, he fielded 30 questions on live TV at a town hall meeting, and I’d say 15 of them he never responded too; instead he said, “next question please.” No, let’s NOT go to the “next question” – let’s stay on this one and see how much information you’re lacking on the subject. Let’s see how much you HAVE NOT read in the proposed bill, and let’s all see why you shouldn’t be voted into another term in office.
Want another joke? How about Nancy Pelosi. Sure, congress is hell-bent on helping in any way, shape or form to cut the deficit, but that doesn’t mean they won’t stop trying to get four luxury business/personal travel jets custom made by Boeing! Are you kidding me? Nancy Pelosi is a stuck-up, egotistical political wannabe who let’s her girlish emotions get in the way of her career. I’d hate to be married to that bitch, because I’m sure she wears the pants in the family, and her husband would have to wear the tights.
President Obama’s administration is severely diseased. The cancer surrounding it needs to be zapped with a large dose of radiation. We need to remove the Specter and Pelosi tumors and give the heart a nice transplant with some GOP surgeons heading up the procedure.

How about John Edwards? Extra-marital affairs, babies scattered around the country that even HE doesn’t know about, constant lying to his family – awesome morals there, wouldn’t you say?
Since World War II, and possibly the beginning of the 1960′s with JFK, the Democratic party has never been one to lead, let alone successfully. It’s been almost 50 years since they’ve been in the practice of leading successfully. As you can tell, this much time away can cause a person, or in this case an entire party, to become rusty at it. The Democrats have been out of practice for too long, and may not be able to gain the ability to lead during this administration again. After all, you’re only as good as the person setting the example for you…
New Book
I bought this new book today at Barnes and Noble called “11:11 – the Time Prompt Phenomenon.” This is the first time they’ve had a book of this subject in-store. And what was on the reciept…? Take a look:

11:11 and Sarah Updates
Hello! Today’s been one of my more ‘hyper’ days. I didn’t even take a nap after work which is un-heard of for me, lol.
I booked Sarah’s plane ticket for the trip up here to Minot! She went ahead and booked her hotel today, so the trip is offically all planned and ready to go now. She’ll be here from September 10th until September 14th.
So, I wanted to post an overdue update on a topic that I brought up a long time ago – the 11:11 events. I’m still weirdly affected by them, and there’s still no answer as to why. Every single day for the last several years I have been drawn to it, as weird as it sounds. It’s still on every clock I look at, even if clocks are too fast/too slow, I still manage to look every single time. There are quite a few new websites dedicated to the phenomenon, but they all repeat the same information I was able to gather 2 years ago when it all started. Also, Barnes and Noble and some other bookstores are now starting to sell material related to the 11:11 phenomenon, mostly online at the websites right now, but soon in stores I would think. It doesn’t weird me out as much as it used too, but it still weighs on my mind as to the possible reasons for it. I don’t buy the simple “it’s your subconscious” theories. There’s more too it. Before I die, I’ll figure it out – trust me.
If you’re wondering, the original post from a while back can be found by clicking here.
I was going to listen to the remix show on the radio that I look forward too every weekend, but the station seems to be out of service tonight for some reason. Figures, right? Oh well, nothing like some classic rock to get me through the night!
Tomorrow, I plan on going to the movies to see “District 9.” It looks amazingly good, and I have to give it a try. Anything Peter Jackson has a hand in creating has to be worthwhile.
And lastly, Aerosmith has cancelled the remaining dates of the summer tour.
There’s still hope for more touring soon though according to the press release. Hopefully they’ll get cranking on the new album and get it out early next year sometime. It’s the least they can do while waiting for the injuries to heal.

Update: The radio station troubles I mentioned earlier in this post – yeah, the station is back in service with 20 minutes remaining in the 5 hour program.
Zoo, Candy, Iced Tea and ST!
Friday was Military Appreciation Day at the Zoo. I worked for a little while in the morning, then went over to the Zoo for about 3 hours and hung out. I never had to go back to work after so it turned out to be a pretty good day! They had a cookout and everything, so it turned out to be pretty neat.
My friend Candy found me tonight for the first time in like…oh god…a year and a half? It just about put me in a coma when she messaged me. We were really good friends when we worked together and then she moved away, so it’s good to talk again and catch up on the good ol’ days!
My addiction to raspberry iced tea has grown out of control. I think I need to check into the snapple clinic or something. Seriously, it’s all I drink now and when I run low on it, I freak the fuck out. For Christmas this year, you know what to get me…
And lastly…Yes, I know about Steven Tyler’s injury after falling off the stage at Sturgis. So many people called/texted/told me….how could I NOT know? I’ve seen the video a few times and it’s just horrible to watch, and ironic. Ugh…
Have a great weekend and be safe!
Our first interview as a band – LOL
Motley Crue, Theory of a Deadman and Good Charlotte!
I know, I’ve been slacking lately with this thing. No worries, I’ll pull out of my blogging slump eventually!
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Motley Crue again! This makes #3 for them, and all I can ever say when I walk away from one of their live shows is…WOW! They never fail to impress, and aging doesn’t show…except for the beer gut maybe.
They played “Dr. Feelgood” in it’s entirety which was just amazing, then they ended the show with a string of hard-pounding classics, such as Wild Side, Girls Girls Girls, Shout at the Devil, etc… And, as you can tell, I already have video of it on YouTube! Theory of a Deadman opened for Motley, but they did a pretty short opening set. If I recall correctly, it was only about 6, maybe 7 songs. Pretty much just the hits, but they still were good. They sounded better in-person than in the video, but you get the idea…
Tonight was the Good Charlotte show. I haven’t been much of a fan, but had heard a few of their songs on the radio over the past few years, and tickets were only $20 – so it was worth the try. I’m glad I went! They rocked out for about 2 hours, never did an encore, but it was still a great show overall. I’d probably spend the money to see them again if they came back.
Also, I’ve been volunteering at the ND State Fair as a gate person. It’s only slapping some wristbands on people, but it was pretty fun. I met some interesting…and weird….people during it!
The last week was a bit stressful work wise, and this coming week looks to be the same, but after that it shouldn’t be too bad. I took on some extra duties and it was just a pain getting it all sorted out. But, we’ll get it!
Tomorrow is errand day. I have to go to the BX and the Commissary for some shopping, then maybe run downtown to the mall. I need socks, lol!
That’s it for now! Thanks for hanging in there during my blogging slump, haha!
