Oh my…only 7 days to go!
Hi guys. It’s 3:45pm and I figured I’d jump on and give a quick post. Only 7 days from today and I will be in Portland at the hotel waiting to ship out for San Antonio the very next day. I started packing up my room. I got all my movies packed away into boxes, and I have to go get a crapload of boxes tomorrow to get everything else squared away. I just got off the phone with my recruiter. We’re going to meet tomorrow at 2pm. There’s a girl named Jennifer Morse who I will be leaving with for Texas…she’ll be meeting with us also tomorrow. But, that’s the latest…The nerves have really kicked in lately. You can prepare for 5 years and the nerves still get to you. I’m ready, though….bring it on baby.
Rainbow Man :)
Good evening! Well, today I was a useless drooling vegetable all day. I actually woke up at about 11:00am, but I was really hungover…and things were still spinning. I felt a bit sick to my stomach for the next couple hours until I finally convinced myself I could make it down the stairs around 1pm. I took a shower and the drunkenness went away finally, lol. I watched a bit of the Flyers/Penguins game, then watched the Nascar race with my dad, then caught the end of the Bruins game. I had homemade chicken soup for supper, and I think I’m actually going to go get some more in a few minutes. I just watched Wedding Crashers, and Men in Black comes on at 9pm so I’m gonna watch that later. But, that’s the update for today! Scroll down and watch the latest video I posted. It’s the original song that I heard a remix of at the Justice concert in NYC. I love it! I put a song called “Rainbow Man” on my Myspace profile too, and it was performed in NYC by Busy P, who opened for Justice. That’s it! Bye!
I’m no Casanova, BUT….
Hey all! Last night was retro night. I came damn close to punching some dude’s lights out right on the dance floor, but self-control got the best of me at the right moment. He kept getting pissed that I was able to dance with about 3 people that turned him down to dance, and it probably didn’t help much that I bumped into him about 4 times by accident. I could see that he was ready to fight, but we both just ended up walking away from each other. It got a nice little crowd gathered, however…lol. I won a Blue Ribbon blanket, and got a whole bunch of going away gifts from Jen and Steven, and Heidi. Champions offered to by me all my drinks next week for my last night there…so how can I refuse that? Tonight we’ll all be at the Blues Club.
I just got done watching the Bruins win!
Have a great day!
NYC – Final Day
Good evening everyone! It’s about 11:45pm right now. This morning I woke up at 8:45am. I packed all of my things and got ready to leave my hotel. I checked out at 9:45am, then walked to the Port Authority bus terminal. My bus left NYC at 11am. We had a layover for about 40 minutes in Boston, then continued on to Maine. Some girl who sat next to me from Boston to Maine decided she needed a nap, and used me as her pillow.
We rolled into Waterville at 8:10pm tonight. The trip back was good. Everything over the past week went extremely smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for a better trip…except maybe a bit longer next time! I posted all of my pics on myspace, but I’ll post a few here. I haveĀ a shitload of video too!
NYC – Day 3!
Well howdy everyone! This was my last full day here in NYC! I had a blast! Although, whenever I get a chance for another vacation, I’ll have to come back, because I only had time to tour midtown….never got a chance to head to the lower area of Manhattan.
Today, I made a daytime trip to Times Square and spent a little more time there. I got a lot more great video of it, and filmed my entire walk to the area. I’m back at my hotel now, and I’m going to start packing a bit for my trip back to Maine tomorrow. My bus leaves Port Authority at 11am and I should be back to Waterville by 8pm. Anyway…after the Times Square adventure, it was getting to be super time so I went to a place called “Fuji Bakery and Chinese Food”. It wasn’t the greatest, but the entire meal, plus a cup of coconut pudding only cost me about $9.00….so I consider it a steal. It was ok. When I got back here to my hotel I took a shower, then took the elevator to the 40th floor where a vending machine is for a pepsi…lol. That’s 20 floors higher than where I am!
But, I gotta stop rambling and go pack now. I’m not even supposed to have wireless internet in my room…because it’s supposed to stop at the 22nd floor. Apparently it reaches a bit further than it’s supposed to, so I get access to something I’m not meant to have here in this room…haha!
Bye! I’ll post tomorrow night when I get home!
New York – 2nd Day!
Today has been a great day! I woke up around 10am, then went to a place called the Tick Tock Diner. It’s a nice but busy diner at the corner of 34th and 8th, just below my hotel. I had an omelet with some toast…then walked over to Madison Square Garden for a tour ticket. The tour of the building lasted about an hour. I was able to take some really neat pictures of the entire place, including the famous arena area, the WaMu Theater, both locker rooms for the Knicks and the Rangers, the skyboxes and some luxury suites. It was a great tour! Justice was playing at the WaMu Theater tonight, so I bought a ticket. After that, I walked to get some lunch (Wendy’s) and then strolled around the city a bit more. I had some pizza for supper, then came back to my hotel for a short nap. The Justice concert started at 8pm…and holy shit! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it in my life…! There were two opening acts (both DJ’s) and then Justice started around 9:30pm. I’ll have to upload some video of it. For those that don’t know…it was part of the Myspace music tour, and Justice is a pair of awesome arena DJ’s.
So, that brings me back here to my hotel. It’s 11:20pm right now. I’m gonna go upstairs to the 22nd floor where the vending machines are and grab a drink and a snack, then relax for the night. I think tomorrow I’ll head down to the financial district, which means it’s subway time. I dread the subway. Oh well…gotta do it, or pay 25 bucks for a cab!
Enjoy your night everyone, I’ll make my last post tomorrow before heading home. I just realized I smell a lot like pot right now…considering everyone around me at the theater was smoking…
New York Paradise
Ok, so the title can be an oxymoron depending on how you look at it. At 6:30 this morning, I boarded the bus in Waterville. We stopped in Augusta, Lewiston and Portland, then ended up in Boston at South Station for my connection. After a 45 minute layover there, we boarded our NYC bus, and arrived at Port Authority around 3:45pm. It was a really nice trip overall. There were no delays, no bad weather, and no rude people, lol. While at Port Authority, I debated taking a taxi to my hotel, but ended up walking the 8 or so blocks instead. It was a nice workout, lol. I took a short nap when I got to my hotel because I was exhausted. After I woke up, I went to a little pizza shop down the street. I ordered a movie on tv, then around 8:30pm tonight I decided to take a stroll around midtown for some sightseeing and picture taking. I went by the empire state building, and ended up at Times Square by some stroke of luck. After wandering around and taking pics and video, I walked back to my hotel. The walking trip took about an hour for me to do. Madison Square Garden was neat…Pete Sampras and Roger Federer were playing a tennis match inside and it was being shown on the large outdoor screen…which I have pictures of also. I got back to my hotel, took a shower, unpacked a bit and here I am now…just watching some tv and admiring the view out my window! I have a gorgeous view of the city from both windows.
So, that’s about it…I’ll post tomorrow night!
It was a Hit!
My party went very well! All but 3 people who were invited showed up! We still have a shitload of food left over but that’s ok, lol.
Tomorrow morning I head out for NYC! I have to be to the bus terminal by 5:30am, and boarding starts at 6:00. I have a layover in Boston for about 45 minutes, then I should be to the hotel in NYC by 4:00 or so.
I’m bringing my laptop with me so I can updated while at my hotel.
Everyone have a great week!
It’s about 2:00pm right now. Everything is all set around the house for my party! The food is cooked, the alcohol is ready, and the party is set to begin!
