Monthly Archives: February 2008
Hello all! Today was a pretty good day. I was in a really deep sleep when my alarm woke me up for work this morning. So, it took a couple hours for me to get running on all 8 cylinders. After that it was fine though. I’m listening to a song called “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life”…god I love this retro stuff.
Amanda came in to Walmart today, and while she was in she came over to say hi to me! It’s only the second time I’ve actually seen her in person. She’ll be coming out tomorrow night to the retro party to hang with us again.
Other than that…no news is good news I guess…not much to talk about.
Some people have been asking for my timeline…Here you go:
March 7th – My last day at Walmart
March 8th – My private party at my house
March 10th – I leave for New York City
March 13th – I return from New York City
March 24th – I leave for Portland/Military processing
March 25th – I leave for San Antonio for Basic Training
May 9th – Expected Graduation Date from Basic Training
May 12th – I leave San Antonio for Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi/Technical School
June 21st – Possibly coming back to Maine for 2-3 weeks
Late June/Early July – Move to my permanent Air Force Base
Last night I got a phone call suddenly about my Great Aunt…she was admitted into the hospital. I was there from about 8:30pm or so until close to Midnight. She’s doing a bit better today but I doubt she’ll be going home…at all. A nursing home is in her future.
Other than that nothing to really talk about. OH! Last night, I called Amanda for the first time. Athena really hit the nail on the head when she introduced us. Amanda is as good as a person could get I think…It’s really too bad I’m leaving really soon. I can definitely see myself dating her at some point.
Anyway…that’s it! Goodnight!
Today is Monday….and that makes tomorrow Tuesday….which also happens to be my day off. It’s looking as though I may get two days in a row off once again this week only due to the fact that the mega blizzard is coming to destroy all of Maine civilization Tuesday evening and into Wednesday. Ok, maybe not quite that bad….but it’s looking like at least 6 inches as of now.
I just finished burning yet another Retro CD. I love this stuff!
Hopefully on Friday I’ll get to hang out with a certain someone once again…It was fun last Friday night!
Saturday, my father and I are going to Portland to pick up his new motorcycle.
“I feel like New York City, now take me to the farm”.
Tomorrow is my mandatory 30-day military briefing with my recruiter.
I’m done rambling for now. Give me a minute. Ok, goodbye.
Moving Sale
Last night, Jeff, Jeremy and myself got back from Portland around 11:30pm. We spent just about 12 hours there. We went to the mall, and yes…to another place some of you might be able to guess at. It was my “going away” gift from them! Haha…When we got back we decided to hit up the Blues Club…and we stayed until about 12:45am. I got back home around 1:30am….then slept until about 6:45am.
When I woke up, I got ready and headed over to my storage unit for my moving sale. Things went really well. I did just over $300 in the 5 hours we were there. I’m happy with that…! A big thanks to Jeff for helping me out with it the entire time! Some friends showed up to say hi…Amber and Laura! Now all I have to do is go back to Arbo’s on Tuesday and cancel my unit. It’s another worry off my mind before I go.
New York City soon! And, I may have a date when I get there.
Retro Happiness
Tonight was the retro party at Champions. We were celebrating Athena’s birthday tonight…and it was interesting to say the least. She had a little bit too much to drink, and she’ll definitely be feeling it well into tomorrow.
Athena introduced me to her friend, Amanda. I typically am not one who likes to be introduced to someone by another person, but I’m really glad Athena introduced me to Amanda. I think what I liked most about her was her personality. I’m not sure how to word this…but she seems to have just enough of each type of personality to balance everything out…if that makes any sense at all. She didn’t come across as too “snobby” or too “shy” or too much of anything else…she’s just a really nice person to know. We exchanged numbers, and I can definitely see myself wanting to get to know her a bit better before I leave, even if it means just a good friendship after I leave. It’s too bad, because if I was staying, she’d be a great person to start a relationship with.
Anyway, what else… A lot of random people showed up tonight, which was good. I had a lot of fun tonight. Tomorrow, Myself, Jeff and Jeremy are heading to Portland for the the mall and other things….lol. Then, on Sunday, I’m having my moving sale and Jeff is helping me out with that. It’s going to be a really good weekend…at least it started out as that. With as many good, close friends as I have, I can’t go wrong.
When all else fails, take a nap
I’ve officially become lazy tonight. I got home at 4pm, and slept from 6pm until 11pm. It’s back to work at 7am in the morning…but then I have the weekend off! Saturday, Jeff, Jeremy and myself will be heading to Portland for the day. Then, on Sunday, I will be having my moving sale at my storage unit. So far so good as far as people wanting my merchandise…I just wish some would be more patient.
The days won’t pass fast enough to get the hell out of here…
Hello everyone! Today was an alright day. Nothing special to really talk about, however, I did go outsdie for about an hour tonight to watch the lunar eclipse. It was pretty neat to see a bright red moon behind the shadow. I took some pictures of it, and you can go to my Myspace page to see those. Other than that, have a wonderful night! I have to be to work tomorrow at 7am.
