Maine Winter – It’s Depressing

So, today is Sunday, December 16th. Last night before going to bed I set my alarm for 8am so I could look outside and decide if it would be worth going to work or not. The roads looked alright at that point, so I reset my alarm for 10am…damn! It was like the difference between day and night. The roads looked like something out of a horror movie. I decided to call in and relax for the day. After all, I’m leaving in March anyway, and I have a ton of time to use at work before then…so I might as well make the most of it and use them for snow days like this. I spent the day chowing down on pizza and tacos. That may not have been the brightest move since I’m trying to stay the weight I’m at now for boot camp. I still can’t believe it…I spent over 10 years trying like hell to gain a pound and couldn’t do it….and as soon as I enlist with the Air Force I gain 12 pounds in two months! Oh well…It’s about time. I spent an hour or so earlier trying to perfect my new CD mixer. It’s going well so far. I haven’t got much else to talk about right now. I’m just relaxing and letting the storm pass at the moment.

Your captain has spoken.
