Nyquil makes the world go ’round
Well, I’m all drugged up on a combination of Nyquil and Dayquil. I took the Dayquil to survive my final exam tonight, but took the Nyquil shortly after getting home…needless to say, before the Dayquil wore off.
My final went well I think. I knew a lot of what was on the test. It was pretty straight forward and simple enough. I’ll find out in about a week and a half what my final grades are for my courses. I can’t wait…these grades determine what my pay will be in the Air Force. In other words…an extra $5,000 per year is riding on these credits. I guess we’ll wait and see…
Shoveling with Pride
I hate snow. I hate snow with a passion. I hate snow with a passion and a cherry on top of that. I just came back inside from shoveling my way out of the driveway. Brushing off the truck was fun…yeah, right. I love getting snow in my boots and walking around with soaking wet feet all day. I love it and I can’t get enough of it. The thought of my jeans being drenched with water all afternoon….boy does that turn me on hotter than an electrical fire. A few more months and I’ll be long gone to sunny San Antonio…where it’ll be 75 degrees and gorgeous. I can’t wait. It’ll make boot camp so much better. Anything is better than being stuck here…in Central Maine, where there are 2 times as many snow plows as cars.
‘Tis the Season
The thought came across my mind tonight that this will be my last winter working at Walmart, and retail in general. This means, it will be my last chance to see the Christmas rush on Christmas eve, and the frenzy of return-happy customers post-Christmas. After thinking about the last several years and trying to come up with one single word to describe my thoughts on the retail world, I failed to do so. However, I did find an interesting picture online that pretty much sums it up…
Maine Winter – It’s Depressing
So, today is Sunday, December 16th. Last night before going to bed I set my alarm for 8am so I could look outside and decide if it would be worth going to work or not. The roads looked alright at that point, so I reset my alarm for 10am…damn! It was like the difference between day and night. The roads looked like something out of a horror movie. I decided to call in and relax for the day. After all, I’m leaving in March anyway, and I have a ton of time to use at work before then…so I might as well make the most of it and use them for snow days like this. I spent the day chowing down on pizza and tacos. That may not have been the brightest move since I’m trying to stay the weight I’m at now for boot camp. I still can’t believe it…I spent over 10 years trying like hell to gain a pound and couldn’t do it….and as soon as I enlist with the Air Force I gain 12 pounds in two months! Oh well…It’s about time. I spent an hour or so earlier trying to perfect my new CD mixer. It’s going well so far. I haven’t got much else to talk about right now. I’m just relaxing and letting the storm pass at the moment.

December 14, 2007
So, this is my first post here on Blogger. I’ve tried posting in other places before…like Myspace, LiveJournal, etc…but this one seems more practical for some reason, and a little easier to use.
Today was a good day, except for the fact that I forgot my phone at home when I left for work. I was in a hurry, trying to leave on time for work and getting some packages all set to mail out, and I took off without my phone! Oh well, I only missed one call, and it wasn’t from the President, so I guess I’ll live. I worked from 7-4, then I had to go to the post office to mail those packages. The line I waited in was about 70 miles long it seemed. 18 bucks to mail out 2 packages…6 pounds total. It’s a rip off, but oh well…
Now I’m just relaxing a little until I head out tonight to the clubs. I think tonight I’ll swing by Champion’s until around 10:30 or so…then it’s off to the Blues Club where a band is playing that I’ve become friend’s with. They’re called In The Pocket – or ITP Trio. The band is out of Southern Maine and they do a lot of Blues and Classic Rock covers. They’re damn good though, and I highly reccommend seeing them for a great show.
So that’s about all for now. My goal is to update nightly, or at least several times a week at random….but don’t be shocked if I fail to do this.
